Invicta builds Europe's largest fireproof media vault

The Invicta vault installed at Wincanton (Data and Records Management) in Dublin is at the forefront of technology and is the largest, most modern, high tech facility in Europe and would compare favourably with any vault worldwide.

To incorporate a media and document vault into a 100,000 ft² warehouse with an 18 metre roof height without compromising on any loss of space utilisation within the cube of the building.

To enable the core box business to work efficiently and effectively within the warehouse but also to work hand in glove with the vault operation to enable the high standards of service levels to be maintained.

To build a 676m² (7165 ft²) 4 tier mezzanine floor in a corner of the warehouse to a height of 15 metres (49 ft) and totally encase the structure in Invicta Durasteel on all 4 sides. Invicta Durasteel was also installed on the underside of each floor to provide an independent 4 hour fire rated compartment to each floor level.

A structure that was fully completed within 10 weeks from start to finish without the requirement for any foundations or building works. To maximise capacity, mobile storage units were installed on each floor level coupled with gas suppression for ultimate protection
