Durasteel Technical Data & Video Demonstrations
Invicta Durasteel systems have been tested extensively in the UK to comply to all relevant parts of BS 476, as well as many international standards such as: Factory Mutual (FM), Underwriters Laboratories Inc (UL), Underwriters Laboratories Canada (ULC), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Lloyds Register of Shipping (LRS), Zulassung, EDF and LUL. The systems have also achieved the stringent Certifire approvals.
Over £2.5M has been spent on tests, assessments and approvals to comply with many insurance specific requirements, both in the UK and overseas.
Promat run investigative programmes at our facilities in Belgium and the UK. Promat UK Limited operate the UKAS accredited Blackburn Fire Test Centre (BFTC) at Blackburn, Lancashire. All Promat materials are manufactured in accordance with accredited BS EN ISO 9000 quality management systems.

Key Features
1. Durasteel, 9.5mm thickness.
2. Steel sections forming framework, usually comprising 80mm x 60mm x 3mm channels thick located at 1200mm centres or at every board vertical edge. These framing centres may vary depending on the size and performance requirements of the system.
3. Steel sections forming top and bottom tracks of framework, usually comprising 80mm x 60mm x 3mm channels, fixed to substrate using steel expansion bolts at nominal 500mm centres.
4. Horizontal framing members comprising steel channels, 80mm x 60mm x 3mm, at 2500mm centres or at every board horizontal edge.
5. Durasteel fillets 100mm wide, thickness and number required depend on the fire resistance of the system.
6. Mineral wool, thickness and density in accordance with the required fire resistance performance.
7. Steel angle cleats, minimum 60mm x 120mm x 3mm. Alternatively, joints between framing members can be welded (8).
8. Welded joint.
