Durasteel Fire Stopping
Principles of the System
Invicta Durasteel provides a complete fire seperation system. The 'Fit And Forget' philosophy means that all elements are tested to ensure compatibility with one guarenteed source. Access panels for maintenance or fire stopping of penetrations are also provided.
Even the smallest of holes can allow the ingress of smoke, toxic gases, heat or even flames. Tests show that smoke can travel up to 1 metre per second, and is responsible for the majority of deaths that occur in fire situations.

Intumescent and Silicone Sealants
Intumescent sealant is water-based acrylic intumescent sealant. Silicone sealant is a silicone-based fire protection sealant. Both intumescent and silicone sealant are suitable for sealing small gaps and holes for applications requiring up to 240 minutes fire resistance.
Fire Barriers
Fire barriers are slabs of high density mineral wool with a white endothermic, ablative coating. Fire barriers are used to stop the spread of fire through openings in fire resistant walls and floors where these are used for the passage of building and communication services.
Fire Compound
Fire Compound provides a fire seal around service penetrations in walls and floors. The formless nature of the fire compound prior to setting allows it to be introduced between services to create a complete void free seal.
Fire Pillows
Fire Pillows provide permanent protection from the spread of fire, particularly useful when only only temporary protection is required and have been successfully tested up to 240 minutes. Fire Pillows are typically installed around cables and non-combustible pipes which need to be regularly altered.
Expansion Joint Strips
Highly compressible, flexible, fire resistant seals which are used where movement joints are formed in the structure of a building. Expansion Joint Strips are ideal for sealing movement joints at junctions between compartment walls, floors and within walls and floors, and their flexibility makes them suitable for use in a variety of configurations.
Unicollar
A patented method of protecting plastic pipes which pass through fire rated walls and floors. Used to maintain the fire resistance of walls or floors when they are penetrated by combustible pipework made from uPVC, HDPE, P/P and many other materials.
Pipewrap
A water resistant sleeve around a flexible intumescent core that prevents the passage of smoke, toxic gases and fire through gaps in compartment walls and floors caused by the collapse and/or melting of combustible services in the event of a fire.
